A good phone system starts with a clear picture of your business. Before comparing products, write down who answers calls, where your team works and what happens when nobody is available.
Map the everyday calls
List your departments, extensions, opening hours and the people who handle each type of enquiry. Include call queues, voicemail and forwarding rules.
Review your equipment and connectivity
Record your existing PBX, IP phones, internet connections and software integrations. Cloud, on-premise and hybrid approaches each need a different technical plan.
Plan a controlled transition
Agree on number porting, a pilot group, acceptance tests and a fallback plan. Confirm the final scope and commercial terms in writing before activation.
